Unfortunately I could not find it again today. Lesson learned to pluck and get a spore print. Ordering a microscope today and look forward to continuing the new hobby. From what I'm led to believe a monotub is a way to continue to grow in order to study further growth in controlled conditions.

I found this on a hike in Red Bug Slough Preserve and I'm about to go again and if it is still there I will grab a sample for spore print and to dry. Quick question, would I be able to pick up that branch and monotub that or best bet to pick and dry? Thanks for any help, new to the interesting world of fungi.
