Yes. The stalk is crumbly. Also, the gold are crumbly and spaced pretty far apart from each other. Also, the caps are sunken on the center *gills

They have the hallmarks of Russula. I'm almost positive I ate this same variety about six years ago. Taste test is chewing a tiny tiny bit and letting it sit on the tip of your tongue for about fifteen seconds. If you get a spicy or bitter flavor- probably poisonous

It does seem to be a type of Russula. I read online that the taste test always works for this type of mushroom. Would you guys agree with that?

Hello all, I feel like I've eaten this type of mushroom before. They came out of the same shrump under Black Oak and Ponderosa Pine. Location Nevada County, California. Can anyone help me identify them?
