Thanks calvert. Unfortunately this is from about a month ago and I don't quite remember. I don't think it turned black but it was very delicate and broke quite easily.

Found in ground in open area near maple forest and balsam fir forest. Cap more red than other hygrocybe. Is it possibly hygrocybe splendidissima?

@gregorybaldi09 how was the tea? -
Found on ground in open part between forests (was in between a maple and balsam fir forest. Can’t remember exactly what kind of habitat it was in.) looks similar to hygrocybe coccinea or hygrocybe quieta. I also think my phone camera lighting made the colors of this shroom look more vibrant than it was.

Found on dead hardwood log. I have a slew of mushroom photos from earlier this year so I don't remember a lot of details unfortunately. Any help would be appreciated!

On the ground in hardwood forest. Can't remember if it was in leaves or on a buried twig or something. Also I didn't take a spore print nor was I able to get a good look at the hymenium. (there was only one and I wanted others to be able to admire it.) Could it be deer mushroom--Pluteus cervinus?
