Yes I believe so! Thx Dave!

Thanks Michele! I believe you’re correct and it is some species of Hygrophorus.

Anyone ever seen these before? My only guess is brick caps.

Nice, I’ve seen many today in a hemlock forest. Anyone know what its deadly look alike is called? From little research I’ve done tonight it looks like a brown Cort. is the deadly but supposedly it has some toxic look alikes that are purple, still trying to find out exactly what species they are.

Very tasty indeed! It’s very hard to distinguish between the two. I assumed all Hericium were called lions mane thanks for the correction! I found this Coral a few weeks back and was very surprised by the looks and taste that it wasn’t classified as a Hericium. -
Thx, I’m thinking possibly Lyophyllum amariusculum.

Found growing in a hardwood forest in Tennessee today but was growing near a few cedar trees. Didn't know the pic was so bad it didn’t have decurrent gills they stopped at the stem.

Caps are sticky. Prints are white. This is the earliest I’ve seen enokis in Tennessee.
