thanks for the clarification Dave.  I have such a hard time following the flip flopping rearrangment of species.  My reference was a Dec 2016 Audubon book.

Worms and the like have adapted very differently than we have.  They certainly can eat things that would sicken or kill you and I.

Thanks for the pics.  They look so much like blewits except no blue and not singular, still something for me to be hyper aware about.  Seems like a white or yellowish spore print.

Does it stain blue.  It certainly does not look like P. cubensis.  That mushroom should have a veil collar on the stipe (stem) and spores should be brown/purple.

Would you describe as black, brown, or purple?  I cannot tell from the photo.  Also most members here will not be familiar with European species.

Almost certainly no, not edible.  I concur with your Ganoderma ID, but unsure of species.  

Somewhat looks like an immature specimen of Agaricus sp. but not one that I have seen.  I see what looks like a veil.  A spore print would be useful.

Safe to come into contact with, yes.  Edibility unknown to me.  Skin irritation is very uncommon with mushrooms.  If you have a young one that puts everything in their mouths then just remove (btw tasting and spitting is a common practice and regarded as safe to help identify mushrooms).

A spore print would be helpful as well as general location.

Is the spore print white?  I also see brown and cannot tell if there is any moisture in the pic.

Since we cannot see the base of the stem, we cannot see any bruising effects.  scratching the stem and cap pore surfaces are good places to try.  Start tasting and smelling your mushrooms.  Don’t swallow, just chew and spit.

It looks to be a bolete of some sort.  Any other information like spore print or bruising available?

Looks just like our destroying angel, A. orcreata.  Notice the volva at the base of the stipe.

Looks like something else to me.

after further reading you could be correct.  Mine look a bit different down here with more orange to the coloration and less pronounced spikes on the cap.

Yours also look wet while mine were dry.  Also mine were taken under bright, indirect light.

I have eaten boat loads of morels before with zero negative effects.  Of course they were cooked.  I felt like the bubba gump of morels for a time.  Stuffed morels, fried morels, morel omelets, etc.  FYI the greenbelt around Austin has white river morels when the spring is cool and wet.

Nice find.  I only joined a few months ago but this community has been very informative and entertaining.

Howdy Dapper Dan.  FYI there are morel mimics out there.  

Remember it is ok to taste And spit mushrooms, even toxic ones.
