  1. Interesting, thanks for the response.
  2. Looks like young pheasant back or dryad's saddle, although not 100% sure. Does it smell like melon and have a honeycomb like underside? If so, it's likely what I said
  3. Found in woods on top of bluff by Mississippi River in Illinois. Smells very good, not like melons but similar to lions Maine. I think it's some lesser known subspecies of hen of the woods (if such a thing exists). Any help appreciated.

  6. Found these today on a horizontal dead log in southern Illinois. Smell is almost like a cucumber, very watery and fresh. No spore color, no bruising, and old caps up to the size of a plate.
