  2. Thank you. Appreciate it
  3. I’m not versed on honey mushroom. Sorta resembles one from the little I know on that particular species but I could be way off. Was growing on a lawn. The stalk doesn’t seem right from the little I’ve seen. I’m thinking it’s not but what should I look at? Thank you guys
  4. I’m no expert but I wouldn’t eat that. Puffballs are pure white inside. Wait for an a more experienced opinion but don’t eat it
  5. I’ve been at it a few years now. Certain mushrooms I’m sure I can identify. They may be easier/foolproof type ones but I have started to delve a little deeper only in identifying. I don’t often comment as I’m still in beginning stages but I look, read and try n Id what I can before I read on. Sometimes I’m right sometimes not but it’s only for learning purposes anyhow. Guys on here are pretty knowledgeable. I appreciate the information and time they offer us. It’s invaluable, thank you
  6. Started finding some fairly regular. Today I found 2 more behind an old age home we’re putting an addition on. The deer it seems found em first. I actually walked the area a few days back. They weren’t visible Deer really hacked em up. Almost to ground
  7. I found young oysters too yesterday but they need a little longer.
  8. I found one today but it was not good. Haven’t heard of anyone finding any til real recently. Thanks for heads up. I appreciate it
  9. I haven’t found any but my buddy found a whole mess today. Gave me half. It filled a potatoe sack and he said there were more little ones growing. This is northern Sussex co NJ. Another buddy found one last week
  10. Is this lions mane Excuse me I believe it was a dead maple
  11. I’m confident I can Id chicken mushroom, as least the sulfur shelf type. I don’t feel that way bout the other. A while back my buddy had about the same mushroom growing on an oak stump. Looks pretty similar except slightly darker. The colors here aren’t perfect. He said it’s orange with off white pores. He said it’s not staining. Is this chicken too or could it be berkeleys? . I know that’s often more yellow. I don’t feel confident proposing so I’m hoping someone has an idea
  12. I have not yet seen them yet fellows but I’ll check if I make it there. Thank you for the information I appreciate it
  13. Yes he said tearing it in half lengthwise it’s white. I’ll prob stop by there later and get better pics
  14. It does seem like one and yea it rained real hard a few days ago
  15. These pics aren’t perfect. I didn’t take them. Nor the other thread. I haven’t seen the mushrooms either but I’m thinking perhaps cinnabars from what he’s sent? I’ve never picked any or even found any this large. He said maybe 1” across. Was found on a grassy, mossy area in the woods
  16. Hey guys I’m not sure what this is. My buddy says chanterelles but the flesh is not white? Any ideas? No fruity smell either. He said it smells like a mushroom I should add it’s growing on a grassy path terrestrially
  17. First good chicken today. Only second one I found so far. First one beat up. My girls daughters favorite
