Hello - This is our first post. Thank you for being such a welcoming community! We found this mushroom in southern Vermont in early October. It was on a grassy bank at the entrance to a state park. There were oak and pine trees in the woods above the bank. The mushroom had a pleasant, fairly strong chocolatey odor. Thanks so much! Jerry and Susan
