  1. Found these by an old oak stump. Was wondering if they are honey mushrooms. Working on spore print now.
  2. I am adding some new photos of the same mushroom full grown. They have no real smell. The caps are still tacky but not as bad as the young ones.
  3. I found this under oaks though it may be some kind of Russula, but could not find it in my books. No sign of any type of latex. Any thoughts? I will get a spore print. No real distinctive smell just earthy mushroom.
  4. Maybe it is a Lactifluus piperatus species. What do you Think?
  5. This bolete (actually 2) has a light brown top, white pores firm and brown staining on pore surface when touching. Could it be Tylopilus rhodoconius? It was found I’m mixed woods pine and oak. Thanks Lance
  6. Hi, Dave, I don’t recall any distinctive smell. I did do a spore print, see photo. Looks like off white to cream. Thanks again Lance
  7. Hi, I found this today and do not have a clue. This mushroom had a very sticky cap. The last photos were taken after washing it. At that point it was super slick. What do you think?
  8. This mushroom growing in mixed woods mostly oak on the edge in a small clearing. I did taste it it did have a hot after bite or taste. I am including a spore print. Thanks for all of your inputs. Looks white to cream color.
  9. Some white latex coming out when cut. No real staining from the latex at least not yet. Thanks for any clues Lance
  10. The cap brick orange the pores are white maybe cream colored. When cut in half it stains from white to light brown. I know it is a bolete, just can’t put a name to it. Thanks Lance
  11. This thing over 9 inches wide, what do you think? Thanks Lance
  12. This is a first with me. This bolete has charcoal color pores and similar color top. It is firm and not old. Could this be Tylopilus griseocarneus thanks for your help Lance
  13. Found these in mainly pines trees. Small yellow top and pores thin stalk. Cap was tacky/sticky when picked. No staining no bitter taste. Thanks Lance
