So in my basement is an old storm shelter/root cellar. It's attached to the basement wall but drops maybe another 5-6 ft deeper . And is lined with brick. Question is would something like this make a good environment for growing oysters and maybe a couple other type mushrooms. If so since it's pretty small down there like less than a jail cell size lol would it be best only to grow one type so no cross contamination happens. Had thought about using it for canned goods then this idea came to mind. Your thoughts and ideas on this would be greatly appreciated

Tree ears is what I thought but the white one threw me All this was on the same log it's why I took so many pictures I just thought it was really interesting at this one log had so much on it

That's what I was leaning towards also . The area I was in was just covered in all kinds of mushrooms and funguses . I could've taken pics all day and not run out of stuff to photograph

ID help really needed. From my research I I think it's a pheasant back definitely scaly on top and has pores underneath I found this growing at the base of a tree and was attached to what I can only describe as an ugly blob which was part of the mushroom which was then attached to the tree

Yeah my 12 year old who's a boyscout was pretty excited. Had three servings of them he couldn't stop talking about how good they were .
