So at first I thought this was a blewit based on the purple gills near the edge of the cap. We found a couple and they were all very big for a blewit. About 200mm in diameter. It smelled a bit fruity but had kind of a spicy taste when placed on the tongue. It bruised purple as shown. Some of this led me to believe it was a blewit. However, the spore print came back brown, which I read is a defining feature of many cortinarius species. I threw it out thinking it wasn't a safe bet to eat. But did I miss out?

Help identifying mushroom found in garden.

	Hello,

I have recently moved to Castro Valley in California and I found some interesting mushrooms in my garden.

From what I can tell, they grow in pretty moist soil. This region underneath my sprinkler system was dripping for weeks until we got it fixed. It's in a pretty shady location and gets direct sun about an hour of the day. I have found three others like this one in a close part of the garden. From what I can see online this looks like a morel mushroom, but I would like some expert advice on it to identify. Additionally, the smell is earthy and clean. there doesn't appear to be any bruising and it is hollow throughout. Thanks for your help!

Hi everyone, I’m new to mushrooming, but wonder if any of you knowledgeable guys could give me a definite id on this mushroom patch growing in my garden please? They started popping up white but have darkened, and are white spongy inside, smell of shop-bought mushrooms, but the more mature ones are green and mushy inside.

I notice also, that the mature ones are oozing red or yellowish liquid when I squeeze them. Is this red liquid guttation? (You can faintly see it on the second-to-last pic.)

Not intending to eat any - just curious!

I found a cluster of the white looking teet theaded mushrooms on a horse chestnut tree that was sawn off near the bottom stump, still living on parts of the tree that was sawn off near the stump. I wasn't sure if these were poisonous. I just thought I'd ask to be on the safe side as was out mushroom foraging in Canterbury UK

	Hi all,

Are these honey mushrooms? The spore print is white and they are ALL OVER the place. If these are edible mushrooms, then we just found a gold mine lol.

Also, does anyone have any advice on honey mushrooms? Do gallerinas ever grow in clusters like this? Having a deadly look-alike makes me very nervous to try these mushrooms, but there is such a bounty on our property that it would be really nice to know how to tell FOR SURE that these would be safe to eat. Has anyone eaten them? Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated.

A note about the photos: The single mushroom that is included came from a cluster pictured in the woods with a bunch of other clusters. Those clusters go pretty much as far as the eye can see on that mountain side, so you see why I am so interested in it as a foraging resource. The mushroom cluster pictured was from another similar cluster on the same (east) face of a different hillside (same mountain, but completely different area). Both areas are mixed woods with mostly pines (eastern white pine mostly)near the clusters. I am pretty sure they are the same thing, but if I knew for sure, I would be here lol. So please let me know what you think.

	Thanks for the help!
