  1. Scott C - what kind of habitat are you finding the lobsters in? I'm here in E PA and nothing coming up. So hot & dry
  2. That's a good problem to have John!!
  3. Found these three in a 20yd radius under poplar trees. Was a flush of Inky Caps nearby. Otherwise barely any fruiting fungus to be found. Still seems very dry even after all the rain. But these are my first morels ever so it was a successful day
  4. The print was a very dark purple/gray. I use standard white office printer paper for spore prints. Is there a better paper to use?
  5. The spore print is purple. The mature gills were more gray appearing but the young were yellow. I went with Audobon instead of Bill Russell for genus Thanks again Dave for the help
  6. Found these on a dead oak stump. The more mature ones have a grey/green tint versus much more yellow. "Brick tops"? I'm doing spore print
  7. Found this about 12 ft up in the side of an oak. First one ever. Any suggestions on how to prepare it?
  8. Still good ones out there! Found this today in E Pa.
  9. I've been finding them at old oak stumps and big stumps. Maybe the big stumps hold more moisture? Been relatively dry here in E PA
  10. Lots of Laetiporous cinncinatus Beautiful but I left it Have found so much this year
  11. I know DaveW made his own dehydrator but any suggestions on a good one to purchase?
  12. Found another 'Hen of the Woods' close to home today. 3kg Now I have the problem I'm sure I will wish for in years to come-how can store/perseve grifola frondosa? How much of the mushroom do you use? Just the 'fronds'? The 'stalk'? Also someone please teach me the proper terms for these parts. Thanks for all the help
  13. First Hen of the Woods. 5lbs. Starting to get the rain and temps here in SE PA
